Ayan Sivaram
I'm an NYU student studying finance, statistics, and philosophy. I also spent a year in London at UCL.
I'm working at One Madison Group, a multi-strategy crossover fund. Starting in June 2026, I'll be a trading intern at JP Morgan.
I volunteer with Asian American Dream and with Sponsors for Educational Opportunity as an interviewer for their SEO Scholars college access program.
Things I'm working on and thinking about
- Trading. In tradfi, holdco/fund debt exchanges and structured equity. In defi, perps and RWAs.
- Effective altruism. NYU EA and doing good, better. Building Meridian Advisory to help EA nonprofits manage their finances.
- Forecasting & prediction markets. AI forecasters and begging people not to use point estimates. Also, how can we get people to hedge their emotions?
- AI safety & the philosophy of AI. Pragmatic interpretability and the nature of eval aware models. A bit of orchestration stuff. Also, what can digital minds teach us about human cognition?
- Game theory & decision theory. Making decisions under uncertainty, ambiguity aversion, and FDT. Also, the reference class problem.
- Economics. What does monetary policy look like if AI breaks Okun's Law?
